im in a family of 5 with 2 adults (one working parent) and 3 children. My dad makes about 20,000 a year. how much wud be my expected family contribution from Smith?

Probably about nothing. Smith has over a billion dollar endowment; I went there for my 4-year degree and ended up with only 15k in loans (it’s more than 40k a year) and my parents make more than yours with fewer kids.

   Zero. If you get in you should get a free ride. Smith is generous to those they want. The all women’s schools have a hard time attracting the type of top student they got before the ivies went coed.
