I would think when it came down to race ,he seems to identify himself as a black man .I feel he could have identified himself as multi-racial .I don’t think he put down white, because he seems to have a problem with his white grandmother. You know, if you look at the assortment of grants out there, you’ll find just about anything. Grants for children of immigrants, for citizens of southern Wisconsin, for recovering alcoholics. If you qualify for one of these grants, and you apply for it, are you doing something bad? References :

I am as mixed as he is and do find it frustrating that I’m basically not on the list. Sometimes I get to check "Other" or check all that apply.
