Watch Out For The Trap Of Easy ScholarshipsAn easy scholarship is one for which you need to fulfill less than the normal set of eligibility criteria. You can get a number of easy scholarships from many organizations such as Cappex. But are easy scholarships really easy to obtain? I have strong and logical reasons to believe that there are no such things as easy scholarships. What are these reasons? Well for one, organizations that offer you easy scholarships may really be trying to dupe you into parting with either money or personal information. Some of these organizations indulge in scholarship scams by luring you into their trap with offers of easy scholarships. They may ask you to upload your entire profile to an e-mail address about which you may know nothing about. They may even ask you to part with your confidential and sensitive information. This may include critical information such as your social security number, your credit card number and pin number, as well as your bank account's access details. Once you part with such details, the scamster(s) log(s) into your account and siphon(s) off your entire funds and leave(s) no trace. Compare the above tactics of such organizations with the complete transparent procedures of scholarship funding organizations. The latter have a completely fair scholarships award policy based on merit and financial need. They do not need to indulge in offers of easy scholarships at all. In their case, you really must be a meritorious student. You must further be in financial need and provide authentic evidence of that. You must have a minimum 3.00 Grade Point Average (GPA) score on a scale of 4.00 for most fair-play scholarships. You must have scored well in the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) I and/or in the American College Test (ACT). Further, your essay responses must be of a standard that compels the attention towards you of the scholarship selection committee. Moreover, you need to provide evidence that you have substantial leadership skills and that you are willing to work for the betterment of your community. Finally, you need to attach a recommendation letter from a learned authority along with your application. All these requirements are put in place by the management of the scholarship funding committee so that the college scholarships are awarded to the genuinely deserving students. Genuinely deserving students never fall into the trap of easy scholarships. This is because they are confident of their academic talent and potential. Some students are not so meritorious. They know that they cannot bag a college scholarship offer from a genuine organization. So, they do the next best thing, which is to make desperate efforts to somehow bag a scholarship. This is how they fall into the trap of organizations that offer easy scholarships. By luring such students with easy scholarships that have less than normal eligibility requirements, such organizations make easy but dirty money. So, beware of such organizations is what I would advise these students. |
