    The African American Volkswagen Employees’ Scholarship Fund is open to former employees of Volkswagen of America, New Stanton, PA and their spouses, brothers, sisters, parents and all lineal descendants.  In order to be eligible for the scholarship fund, applicants need to show academic potential as well as demonstrate financial need.  Applicants need to maintain a good grade point average but not necessarily have to be in the top 10% of their class.  Students are also expected to be involved in extracurricular activities and plan to attend schools beyond their high school.  To apply, students need to submit an application and include an essay that explains their academic performance and whey they think they deserve to receive the scholarship money.
